If you bought the bike brand (in the box) from ST it should be a pretty simple build unless the bike got bounced around during shipping. Before I put in alot of riding time I would make sure you are not voiding any warranties. If it was me I would put ST on notice there was a problem before attempting any corrective (15 hours of riding) measures. If the problem does not correct itself I would call ST and see if they have a subcontractor or service vendor in your area that you can contact or in the worst case senario have them look at for you.
