Simply enoguh because my motherbarods does not allow me to install enough memory. Currently im runnig with 12GB ram which only is enough for 7-zip 1gb Lzma2 2xthreads and i want to run with 8 threads. Physsical ram disk with like 36GB ram and put swapfile on there should help a bit on the speed i hopeSounds like a very bad idea, most likely running with fewer threads would be faster. Swapping in and out is a lot of OS work. And always needs a context switch, which takes loong. And with 2/3 of memory being swapped out, you'll need it VERY often. Filesystem parts of the OS were not optimized for RAM disks.
